  • Cool Places to Visit in Los Angeles

Los Angeles destinations for tourists - and locals, too!
    • Hollywood Forever Cemetery
If you like animation and you like cemeteries, then you'll want to visit the grave of Mel Blanc in this Hollywood landmark just down the street from Paramount Studios. Start your trip at the tiny gift store, buy a map and go for a walk!
    • JapanLA
This is a super fun store that believes more in parties than advertising. Merchandise changes frequently - because those Gothic Hello Kitty dolls have a tendency to fly out of their Melrose Avenue front door.
    • Chinese Theatre
The most famous theatre in LA. Built in 1927, this is really a beautiful place to see a movie. Even if you don't go inside, you can still have a lot of fun comparing hand and footprints outside.
    • Maid Cafe
A Los Angeles version of the popular Japanese cosplay cafes. The servers are dressed as maids, the menu is really eclectic, and they serve alcohol. It's part of the same space as Royal/T, a super cool art gallery & shop. What's not to love?
    • GR2 (aka Giant Robot in Los Angeles)
Giant Robot is one of my favorite magazines. It's a little treasure that shows up every month. GR2 is its art gallery in west Los Angeles. Subscribe to Giant Robot & visit GR2!
    • Lake Hollywood Reservoir
This is a hidden treasure. Walkers, bikers and joggers can easily navigate the flat path encircling this beautiful, man-made lake. The reservoir was built by William Mulholland himself back in the 1920's. Treat yourself to a visit!
